- Sales invoices issued and credit notes, or access to your invoicing system
- Supplier invoices, receipts and expense claims
- Payroll summaries and any end-of-service or benefits information

Reconciliations and reporting
Each month we reconcile bank, card and key balance sheet accounts, review suspense items and prepare reports agreed in your package. Management reports show revenue, gross margin, overheads and cash position, so you can see trends rather than only year-end figures.
Records for tax and audit
Ledgers are maintained so that VAT returns can be traced to invoices and the Corporate Tax computation can be traced to financial statements. Corporate Tax records generally need to be kept for at least seven years and VAT records for at least five, with longer periods for real estate. Where an audit is required, we prepare schedules for the independent auditor; the audit itself is performed by a registered audit firm.

Frequently asked questions
Which accounting software do you use?
We work with common cloud accounting platforms and can usually continue in the software you already use, or recommend one that fits your volume.
Can you catch up on months of unrecorded transactions?
Yes. Catch-up work is scoped separately based on the number of months and transactions, and is usually completed before regular monthly bookkeeping begins.
Do you provide audits?
No. We prepare the records and schedules auditors need, and the audit is carried out by an independent registered audit firm.
How long do I need to keep records?
Corporate Tax records generally for at least seven years after the tax period, and VAT records for at least five years, with longer periods for real estate.
